ColorMargin is a local iPhone and iPad app for recording service costs and estimated contribution. Start with the checks below, or email the developer for help.
Getting the first result
Add a product with the landed amount you paid and its package mass in grams.
Start a service record and enter the actual grams used.
Enter the pre-tax service price and review the live cost and contribution result.
Save the record to freeze the costs and assumptions used that day.
Version 1 uses US dollars and mass in grams. It does not convert volume to mass.
What “estimated contribution” means
ColorMargin starts with the pre-tax service price, subtracts discounts, actual product cost, other direct supplies, the card-fee estimate, and the labor allowance you chose. It is a planning result, not accounting profit, tax advice, or a guarantee.
Backup and restore
In Settings, use Export Complete JSON Backup before replacing a device or restoring other data. Restore JSON Backupreplaces the current local products, services, and business defaults only after confirmation. CSV export is for readable service history; JSON is the complete restorable backup.
ColorMargin has no developer cloud and cannot recover a lost local file. Keep exported backups somewhere you control.
Lifetime purchase and restore
ColorMargin Lifetime is a non-consumable purchase tied to the Apple ID used for purchase. Use Restore Purchases from the Lifetime screen after reinstalling or changing devices. Apple processes payment; ColorMargin grants access only after StoreKit verifies an active entitlement.
Privacy and professional boundary
No account, tracking SDK, advertising network, or developer server is used. Read the complete Privacy Policy. ColorMargin records amounts entered by a professional; it never recommends shades, developer strength, ratios, processing time, substitutions, or treatment.
